about

"Two Voices" is the second single out off The Controversy's second album "Don't Count On Me". The Los Angeles electronic art-pop duo invites you on a journey through intricate electronic beats, psychedelic ambiance and unusual pop melodies. With U&I Magazine naming their single "Queen of Chinatown" as #1 Single of 2014, FourCulture Magazine proclaiming the band as one of the Best Artist of 2014 and recent features and premieres on Buzzbands LA, Free Bike Valet Magazine, The Deli Magazine, Polari UK, Impose Magazine, there's expectation being build around the duo's second album "Don't Count On Me", to be released on February 2015.

Originally from Spain and Denmark, The Controversy's sound is influenced by artists like St Vincent, Beck, Air, Miike Snow, Portishead, Bjork and Massive Attack and has been described as a "seamless mash up of electronica with psychedelic rock". The Controversy has released two singles ("Queen of Chinatown" and "Two Voices") from their upcoming second album and will release a third one, “You Know” on January 12th.

lyrics

Always been a shy kid,
Afraid of judging eyes I hid, I hid.
Following the shadows at night,
Always trying to fit in.

As the years went passing by
I had enough, grew tired of the dark.
Don't wanna pretend anymore
I wanna shout and

Let it out, howl at the night.
Two voices to release
Get it out, laugh at the fright
Two voices for relief

Let it out, howl at the night.
Two voices to release
Get it out, laugh at the fright
Two voices for relief

At times I still feel that chill
Crawling through my spine, it's caving in.
All the walls are closing on me,
Don't wanna give in, don't give in.

Let it out, howl at the night.
Two voices to release
Get it out, laugh at the fright
Two voices for relief

Let it out, howl at the night.
Two voices to release
Get it out, laugh at the fright
Two voices for relief
